The Mixology Group becomes official trainer for the Whisky Ambassador BII Accredited Course.
From April 2016 the Whisky Ambassador, founders of the only accredited Whisky training programme in the UK, have certified Myles Cunliffe, director of the Mixology Group alongside their expertly qualified trainer team to lead and teach the programme nationwide.
The Mixology Group’s Brighton based Mixology School is now the only training school in the country to be providing the unique, innovative Whisky Ambassador programme. The Mixology Group team will also be offering in-venue training, and London courses.
The programme, designed specially for the licensed trade, is an insightful, definitive qualification taught over a day. It provides knowledge and training on a vast range of whisky related topics including history, the economic impact and importance, production, cocktail creation and sales techniques.
Cunliffe commented “The Whisky Ambassador programme is essential to the modern industry professional. It will empower you and your staff with the knowledge and skill to not only recommend and sell whisky but add value to the customer experience. Training on this level is the future of the hospitality industry”.
The Mixology Group will be hosting one course every quarter and is currently looking for partnerships with whisky brands to provide comparative tastings as part of the programme. The Whisky Ambassador Programme is accredited by the BIIAB.
